A Fashion Stylist based in New York, Elizabeth Sulcer is known by many for her sultry, glamorous and feminine style that hits red carpets, campaigns and the infamous New York Streets. 111SKIN: TELL US MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?

Elizabeth: I am a style creative so in addition to styling, I also art direct, consult, design and model within the fashion and beauty industries globally.

111SKIN: A WOMAN OF MANY TALENTS, HOW DID YOUR CAREER THEN EVOLVE?

Elizabeth: Thank you, well after graduating from RISD, I worked at Alexander McQueen based in London and from there I started assisting stylist, Beat Bolliger. As I began to develop my own styling career; I was lucky enough that some of my first projects were for the New York Times, V Magazine and Viktor & Rolf. I then became Fashion Director at BlackBook Magazine where I worked on celebrity cover shoots and afterward transitioned into working with Self Service and Vogue Italia.

111SKIN: HAS ANYONE INSPIRED YOU AND SUPPORTED YOU AS YOU GREW TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?

ES: So many, I have been inspired by Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, Cy Twombly, Basquiat, Chris Von Wangenhiem, 90’s Style Chanel, CK and Versace. Music and Art in the late 80’s and 90’s, Andy Warhol, Halston, Studio 54, Steven Meisel, Old Hollywood Glamour and the Iconic Film Stars.

111SKIN: WHAT WAS THE BEST PROJECT YOU HAVE WORKED ON & WHY?

ES: I can’t pick a favourite project, as I have loved them all. A few memorable career moments include working with David Bowie, being backstage in Paris with Alexander McQueen as we worked on the shipwrecked pirate/ rainbow collection, working with Peter Lindbergh, attending The Cannes Red Carpet for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Bella Hadid in her custom Alexandre Vauthier in Cannes.

111SKIN: SO MANY EXCITING HIGHLIGHTS, LOOKING TOWARD THE FUTURE NOW, WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?

ES: Continue to grow as an artist creatively and work with incredible and inspiring people.

111SKIN: NOW ONTO YOUR PERSONAL ROUTINE, WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP AND THE LAST THING YOU DO BEFORE HEADING TO BED AT NIGHT?

ES: Simply check my to do list and my phone for anything urgent.

111SKIN: WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE LIKE?

ES: Every day is different, which is what I love but it does depend on the season and time of year.

111SKIN: ARE THERE ANY WELLNESS HABITS THAT YOU CULTIVATE?

ES: I have to drink my Celery juice, water with lemon and heavy metal detox smoothie every morning. I also opt for a non-diary/ sugar lifestyle, obtain a paleo diet and remain as organic as possible. For fitness I love my yoga and Pilates sessions.

111SKIN: ONE HABIT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENFORCE INTO YOUR ROUTINE?

ES: Certainly, more nature walks and getting into the fresh air on a daily basis.

111SKIN: DO YOU HAVE ANY ON THE GO ESSENTIALS?

ES: My phone, wallet, lip balm, hair tie, mask and a chic handbag.

111SKIN: HOW DO YOU WIND DOWN IN THE EVENING?

ES: I love to hang out with my husband and son, eat a healthy beautiful dinner, glass of wine, facetime with friends and read inspiring books.

111SKIN: YOUR FAVOURITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?

ES: Capri & St. Barts.

111SKIN: WHAT THINGS BRING YOU JOY EVERY DAY?

ES: My husband, my beautiful son, our incredible friends, our Tribeca loft, and my work!!.

111SKIN: FINALLY, THE BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED?

ES: Stay true to yourself and your vision. Work hard, love hard, travel in the beauty that is life and enjoy every moment. Regarding career advice, try to get an internship in a field that you want to explore, and work with a mentor, real work experience is key if you want to work in Fashion.
