Okay so the clocks have gone forward and that can mean nothing more than spring being on its way and with that, and the past few days I have been searching online for bits to update in my wardrobe for the slightly warmer months. Here is a quick round up of the trends and colours that you will no doubt be seeing across the high street and online stores.
Is this the new shade of denim, are we leaving out the denim shorts and jacket this spring? Using khaki as a neutral provider, it is the perfect “ inbetweener ” – paper bag waist trousers or a khaki jacket with a white t-shirt, the in between shade of the season.
I have been an avid lover of mules for the longest time, I love how simple and minimal they are, and easy when you haven’t got your weekly pedicure done. Sometimes I find that sandals should be saved for abroad or summer, and mules are the perfect in between as we leave the loafer or boots in winter.
White comes around every year, and each year I still fail to keep anything I have clean – tissues have to be in hand. But the lighter shade is the way for the warmer months.
I could never find blazers that suited me, I love the look with cropped jeans and mules for an easy put together outfit. The 70s cut is the way forward for blazers this season, the shoulder pads and the double-breasted front, the style of the blazer is super elegant and smart and we all need at least one in our wardrobe.
Definitely a print that has taken most people’s wardrobe already and who can blame them, it’s simple in colour but exciting in terms of prints and styles. Everywhere is selling gingham right now and whether it’s a trouser, shirt or coat, the trend is super easy to negotiate into the wardrobe.
